To walk the story, it is necessary to know the story. St. Jerome said that there are five Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the Land. Each author presents God’s story from their perspective and point of view and the land is no exception. People today live on the land in the same way as they did thousands of years ago. The sights, smells and cultural nuances still resonate with the echoes of a lifestyle which reflects the characters we read about in the Bible.

Our goal is for people to have an experience and not a tour. To engage the Bible in its context, to understand the cultural interplay between the Bible and the historical reality in which it was immersed. It is life changing to see the Bible come alive as you walk it for yourself and put your feet in the same locations in which events happened that changed the world forever.

Trip to Israel

  • 13 days in country. You’ll explore the land as if you were a first-century disciple. Not much compares to an experience like this walking the land of the Bible.
  • Tremendous Teaching and Faith Lessons: Led by John Farwell, the founder of
“Walk the Story.” John has lived in Israel, taken countless groups of people to Israel, and has graduated from Jerusalem University College. You can read more about John’s work and biography at www.walkthestory.com
  • Walk Where Jesus Walked. We’ll explore countless biblical sites like Masada,
Jerusalem, Caesarea Philippi, the Dead Sea, and many, many, others as we
experience the Bible come to life.
  • All food, travel and lodging covered in country. The food in Israel is soooo good!
  • This is a Study Trip. It will be a deep dive into the Bible and focus on experiencing the story of the scriptures as if you were a first-century disciple. It requires a great deal of walking. You must be in good physical condition to do well on this trip.

  • What about your plane ticket? We will all purchase our own individual tickets.
  • John (the leader of our trip) will be giving us more details on what airport we’ll all meet at to fly out together to Tel-Aviv, so please wait to buy your ticket until we hear from John.
  • Can I raise support? Yes, you can! Walk the Story is a Christian, non-profit, so you can raise support for your trip and have your donors give to them. It’s all tax deductible.
  • What about the current unrest in Israel? We are hoping for the best. Since Walk the Story schedules their own trips. We do not need any money until 46 days before our Experience Israel trip. Therefore, we can easily pull out of the trip if it is not wise to go and if you purchase travel insurance you will be reimbursed for your travel expenses if you do not go if it ends up not being safe.
